I made 2 batches of See's Fudge for Christmas to hand out to friends, neighbors and family. It has been a huge hit! This is the BEST Fudge that I have ever made. I've had multipe request for this recipe over the English Toffee (which I thought was just as great, too!) I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! The best thing, it didn't even take that long to make it. Here is the recipe:
Place in large metal bowl (must be metal):
3 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
1 1/2 squares butter
3 tsp vanilla
In separate large saucepan, bring to a boil:
1 (12 fl. Oz) can of Evaporated Milk
4 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
Stir constantly. Boil for 7 minutes. Pour over ingredients in metal bowl. Stir until butter melts and mix well. Pour into 13 x 9 metal pan lined with foil and greased with butter and Pam. Wrap the foil that was in the pan and put it a ziploc bag. Cool in fridge for 2 hours to set.
Enjoy! It will last quite a while if you keep in the fridge or freeze for future chocolate cravings!
